5 steps of a corporation towards effective agile transformation

A solid transformation of a big international company into a system of dynamic, ever learning product teams that veritably get the customer perspective – this is a goal of many organizations nowadays. Although all are unique from business model, structure or change management perspective – they often implement practical and generic ingredients to get closer to effective agile transformation. SAFe is a genuine repository that equips us with a fine toolkit and advises on executing a few actions which will help to take the right direction on the path to agility.

I would like to find customer value more precisely

What do you think when you hear "performance improvement"? Do you think about increase in throughput of a development team? Is it higher quality thanks to which less bugs cause less rework? Undoubtedly, these are good answers. However, we would like to suggest another one with more significant influence: performance is a precision with which business value is delivered, which a client really needs and is willing to pay for. This means that we are improving performance by not doing irrelevant things. This requires client's problem discovery and solution verification which is as fast and cheap as possible. We will learn this by playing the "Playing Lean" game extended with examples of real products which were successful thanks to the aforementioned approach. It will be fast and effective learning of Lean Startup mindset which can also be applied to bigger organisations.
